Your old glasses can change lives

PMP Eyecare has partnered with Zuri Resort, and is traveling to Zanzibar at the end of December to carry out free health and vision checks for the local population.

On this occasion, we take used glasses and sunglasses in our luggage. Your old glasses can give new life to someone who needs them.

Giving back to the local community

Zuri Resort is a private health resort that constantly gives back to the local community. They were recently recognized as the most sustainable healthcare center in the world.

Giving back to the local community, as they do, is in line with our values and something we have been thinking about for a long time. Instead of giving money to a charity and not know where it will end up, we would rather give our time and expertise, as well as build relationships.

A different kind of Christmas

This year will be a different kind of Christmas for us, as we will be spending the entire holiday in Zanzibar. In addition to providing health and vision checks to the local population, we are also attending a clean-up campaign with the local school and yoga lessons for the children.

We are looking forward to our first charity trip, and have plans for this to become a permanent tradition every two years. Eventually, we would like to bring in more partners and expand the charity project.
